Sachiko Flores

With over 10 years in international development and environmental conservation, she’s passionate about nature, hiking, and travel.

Sachiko Flores, a proud first-generation American of Mexican-Japanese heritage, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Texas A&M University in 2011. Inspired by her study abroad experiences in Fiji and Australia, she pursued a passion for natural resources and conservation, joining AmeriCorps to work in various conservation programs.
Her work with local communities and in conservation led her to earn a Master’s in International Development from Gallaudet University in 2014. Following her studies, Sachiko worked for nearly two years at the Asia Pacific Development Center on Disability in Thailand, where she helped launch 60+ Bakery and Cafe, an inclusive and accessible business.
Upon returning to the U.S., Sachiko co-founded CorpsTHAT in 2016 to expand Deaf representation in the outdoor community. Dedicated to community involvement, she also promotes the Deaf ecosystem.
When she’s not busy making a difference, Sachiko is out hiking, running, getting crafty with sewing projects, and dreaming up innovative business ideas.

Ana Anderson

She holds 14 years of retail experience with a never-ending passion for art, travel, and cats.

Ana Anderson, originally from San Antonio, Texas, holds an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Now living in Springfield, Virginia, Ana celebrated her marriage in 2024. She is currently the Marketing and Communications Manager for Deaf Worlds, a role she embraces with enthusiasm and dedication.

With 14 years of experience in the retail industry, Ana has honed her skills in customer service, management, and communication. This extensive background provides a solid foundation for her current position at Deaf Worlds.

Ana’s passion for art shines through in everything she does. She excels in drawing, mosaic, crocheting, and DIY crafts, and she showcases her exceptional talent in her Etsy art shop.

Outside of her artistic pursuits, Ana loves traveling, hiking, reading, and relaxing with her two adorable cats. She is excited to contribute to the mission of Deaf Worlds and looks forward to making a positive impact within the organization.

Caroline K. Koo

Originally from NYC, she's an adjunct professor in Austin, Texas, is pursuing a doctorate in Deaf Studies.

Caroline K. Koo, originally from New York City, plays multiple roles in Austin, Texas, her adopted hometown. She serves as an Adjunct Professor in Student Development at Austin Community College and assists the Deans with registration during each session. Additionally, she is a doctoral student in Deaf Studies Deaf Education at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Her research interests include mental health, language deprivation, and intersectionality. Caroline enjoys giving back to her community through volunteer work on various projects. She also loves spending quality time with family and close friends, reading, and pursuing creative arts. She dotes on her young nephews in Hong Kong and the children of close friends, who affectionately know her as “Auntie”.

Travis Zornoza

Originally from Kentucky, he has a Business Administration degree and runs TZORNOZA, LLC in Los Angeles, offering accounting services.

Travis Zornoza is originally from the bluegrass state, Kentucky. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Gallaudet University in year 2013. He currently lives in Los Angeles. He worked as an accountant for Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Inc. While he worked there, he returned to school and got Master’s Degree in Financial & Accounting Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University in year 2016. Shortly after, He transferred and worked for Space & Missile Systems Center at Los Angeles Air Force Base as a Budget Analyst. He is now owning his own accounting business with TZORNOZA, LLC by providing accounting, consulting, and educating small businesses nationwide. During his time at TZORNOZA, LLC, he also currently studying and pursuing to become Certified Public Accountant.

His passion is to help small businesses with an understanding of the financial measurements that indicate the health of their businesses and empower the businesses their ways toward profitability included to increase their cash flow, bottom line, and overall business value through advanced financial analysis using the QuickBooks Online platform.

During his free time, he loves to spending time with his wife, hiking, doing CrossFit, and reading books.
